The Story of Onyx
From a cattery in Florida to the most unforgettable companion.
Where It All Began
Onyx came from BIMINI cattery, a reputable breeder known for producing exceptional Bengal cats. His mother, Monica, was described as "a high standard of the breed" — a Snow Mink Bengal herself.
From the moment his aqua eyes opened, there was something undeniably special about him. The cattery knew he was exceptional. His new owner knew it the instant they met.
Born on September 1, 2024, Onyx entered the world carrying one of the rarest genetic combinations in the Bengal breed. But it wasn't just his genetics that set him apart — it was his spirit.

Who He Is
Every Bengal has personality. Onyx has personality in abundance.

The Adventurer
Car rides, pool days, pet stores — Onyx isn't content staying home. He wants to see the world, preferably from a shoulder or a dashboard.

The Shoulder Cat
His favorite perch is a human shoulder. He'll leap up uninvited and settle in like he owns it — because he does.

The Vocal One
Bengals are known for being talkative, and Onyx takes it to another level. He has opinions about everything and isn't shy about sharing them.

The Companion
For all his wild beauty, Onyx is a deeply bonded companion. He follows his human everywhere, watches TV together, and always wants to be in the same room.
Growing Up
From tiny kitten to the magnificent Bengal he is today.

Newborn
First days at BIMINI cattery. Tiny, eyes still closed, but the seal mink coloring already hinting.

Kitten
Markings starting to emerge. The fuzzy kitten phase where every Bengal goes through 'fuzzing' — nature's camouflage.

Growing Up
Rosettes sharpening, coat clearing, those aqua eyes becoming unmistakable. The glitter gene starting to sparkle.

Adolescent
Personality fully emerging — the shoulder climbing, the vocalizations, the adventurous spirit. Still growing into his frame.

Present Day
A fully realized Seal Mink Bengal. Every trait at peak expression — the aqua eyes, the glitter coat, the perfect rosettes.

The Bond
People often ask what it's like to live with a Bengal. The honest answer? It's not like having a pet. It's like having a tiny, beautiful, opinionated roommate who happens to purr.
Onyx follows me everywhere. He sits on my desk while I work. He rides my shoulder to the store. He has conversations with me — full, vocal, back-and-forth exchanges that anyone watching would swear he understands every word.
He's wild and gentle, fierce and affectionate, independent and deeply attached. He's proof that sometimes the most extraordinary things come in the most unexpected packages.
He's not just a rare cat. He's the one.
